Born on the Isle of Wight to a 'non-horsey' family, I wanted to ride horses from as young as three and a pony ride during the family holiday to Butlins only fuelled my desire.
I learnt to ride at a local riding school and I enjoyed being a 'helper'. My passion grew and I joined the I.O.W. branch of the pony club - hiring ponies for rallies, camps and shows. It wasn't until I got my first job in London at 20 years old that I managed to buy my first horse! (the first of many).
I competed in Eventing and discovered a love of training, schooling and dressage. Slowly over the years, I balanced work, horses and a family, whilst I trained to get my BHS qualifications for teaching purposes.
I have worked on a freelance basis at many yards, gaining experience in many facets of equine life, from stud-work through to dressage and showing. I was Senior Groom at Cobham Park stables, Yard Manager at Angel Farm and taught at Ealing Riding School, to name a few.
Now I enjoy working with private clients on their own horses.
